MISSION: TOGETHER WE CAN FIND A CURE
Our mission and focus is to find a cure for breast cancer by funding research directly; the proceeds from this year’s event will solely fund Dr. Kay Macleod, University of Chicago Medicine. As we celebrate the 24th Annual Ginger Rugai Y-Me Softball Tournament, women softball players, along with researchers, health care professionals, volunteers and sponsors, are committed to eradicating this disease. On the fourth Saturday every August, over 1000 women come together to make a difference. They play to raise funds for a cause which has touched so many; they play to honor a friend or a loved one; they play to support teammates recently diagnosed; and they play to have fun along the way.
